>Two worthless vehicles are not better than one.

Right, and one worthless vehicle is not better than two useful ones. Most people find the Prius pretty useful. If not, there's always the Highlander.

>Not listed as available on the Toyota site I looked at.

From a review:

"Hybrids are all the rage. You can choose from over a dozen different hybrids on the market, and that's a good thing. The 2006 Toyota Highlander Limited Hybrid 4WD-i V6 is Toyota's hybrid crossover SUV, a proven package with a gas-electric hybrid powertrain."

That's fine. But that's your decision; I have used them with no problems at all.

>Why spend the money to get a different vehicle that is
>just like the one I already have?

Because eventually the one you have will wear out.

I get to spend my winters enjoying the coast of San Diego (and the nearby mountains for skiing) and I get to spend my summers here as well. Never gets below 60 in the winter or above 85 in the summer. But that's just me; I chose a place to live where I liked the climate, the people etc.

That's fine; whatever you're into. I am not trying to prove you are "wrong" or anything, just that we all have choices, and can quite easily choose to use much, much less energy. You choose not to, and that's your choice. But it is your choice to use as much as you do.
