The problem is, our private for-profit health care is run the way halliburton runs our wars.

I spent my last 2 years of high school in an nyc public school, and i know many people who graduated the system, while there are problems, the system is probably much better than people believe. My high school was not one of the better ones, it was very mixed in every way, yet i still had the opportunity to take college level (AP) courses in math and science, and i gained a love of physics. Much of the problem with the schools is due to the popular culture, which the schools have little control over.

I believe it is hard to duplicate a public education, i went to religious schools and will send my children to religious schools because i feel it is necessary to teach them religion, which public schools can not do, but there are many benifits of the social interactions of public school which i wish they could also have. I would not send my kids to schools in rough neighborhoods, but again these schools have problems largely because the society they serve has problems.
