You recognize that a large percentage of americans are irresponsible, they are unable or unwilling to take proper care of themselves and instead blow their money on useless consumer goods. How are such people ever supposed to make a good choice from the many health care plans offered by our private profiteering health care system?

Even for those of us who have a sense of values and priorities, having to decide from all of these different plans is just another layer of stress in life that we must deal with, all so that corperate executives can make tens of millions, sometimes hundreds of millions of dollars a year.

We have to worry about loosing our health insurance, or being denied coverage we are entitled to, this is unimaginable in free democratic countries that have national health care, the hospital would never consider sending you a bill, the government pays for it.

Health coverage is usually something you need during a very stressful time in your life, such as sickness, birth, or accidents, most of the time these occurances have little warning, having to sift through binders filled with medical bills is one source of stress we don't need, and national health care can eliminate.

I know about this because it is normal when you have a major medical problem or birth for the health insurance to deny some of the claims, when this happens the doctor or hospital usually just bills the patiant and the patient has to become a social worker and fight the insurance company. The patient will usually find out what the problem is and get covered, usually it's just a billing error, but when everthing else in life is chaotic this will add a huge amount of stress, in the case of a reletive who died it is unbearable. Even if national health care cost more, for this reason alone the extra cost would be worth it.
