We are taught at an early age to "keep up with the jones". Television is something that might have to be dealt with. Commercialism is way out of control on that thing, but truth be told most of you want things done for you. people have lost the ability to act on their own accord prefering that someone else do their "dirty work" for them. Case in point is renewable energy. In the 10 years we have been on these boards each and everyone of you could have installed a system. or they made a decision to live somewhere that limited their ability to do so. We shy away from the work that needs to be done as individuals. We never run out of excuses however.
