"and at least the dems are not funding museums for tea
pots or bridges that go no where."
They are piling on the earmarks for just about everything under the sun....including one that has NO info on what it is for. I will admit the reps are just as bad but now that the Dems are in control, they have changed their tune on the deficit and earmarks.

"was a surplus
when bush took office however with every rep congress
person adding pork to no end to the budget we now have
the larges deficet in the country ."

It is looking like the budget deficit will be wiped out by the time Bush leaves office. Check the congressional budget office report on this fact.

"The war has to be
stopped before there can even be any balancing of the
budget ."

Wrong....check out that report on the deficit.

"Remember the dems did not start this war the
decider did ."

Wrong....must Dems voted to give him authority to go into Iraq.....and Afganistan.

"PLus bush vetoes almost all legistature
that comes across his desk ."

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't remember him vetoing any spending bills.

'He only used the veto
once when the rep were wildly spending our tax dollars
on pork . And i am not so sure his veto was because
of spending at that time ."

I don't recall anything he vetoed but you people were screaming your heads off the last 6+ years that he wasn't spending enough money and was slashing the budget for all the big spending programs you lefties love.

"Lets face it your party got
us in this hole but it will be up to the dems at some
point to dig us out such as happened after reagan and
bush before ."

I wouldn't hold my breath if I was you waiting for Dems to lower government spending. They are already trying to pass a health care bill that will probably increase speading by trillions of dollars and are dreaming up new tax increases on a daily basis. They are even proposing to put a tax on cigars of $10 per cigar. That will be great for the black market in cigars and will yield less money for the government than they now take in on the present cigar tax. And it will probably put out of work lots of small growers and workers in poor Central American coutries who will then come streaming north into the US to work cheap and drive down wages for low income workers here. And probably destablize several central American countries that ,in the end, will cost us billions in foreign aid.
I'll bet you will be hearing about all kinds of new 'user taxes'. A hiking tax, a firewood tax, a bird watching tax, pet food tax, medical care tax, owning real estate tax, etc, etc, etc. And that's not to mention increases in all existing taxes including income taxes on Social Security.
