northern mocking bird lays blue eggs speckled with brown however think they may make a larger nest . Swainsons thrush also lays that color of eggs also a gray cheeked thrush lays blue eggs sparingly marker with brown spots . a blue gray gnatcatcher also lays that color egg . So does a cedar waxwing . a yellow warbler lays that color of eggs but uses milk weed fibers to partially line the nest . some of the black birds lay that color of eggs but they usually nest in marshes . orchard oriole lay that color of egg as does a northern or balitmore oriole . painted bunting has that color of eggs a boat tailed grackle also lays that color as does a common grackle . summer tanager also lays that color of eggs as does a scarlet tanager , cardinal , rose breasted grosbeak , purple finch , junco . chipping sparrow , clay colored sparrow field sparrow amd this book leaves tons of birds out of it . IF they have not completed the clutch they will be back in the ams to lay more eggs . After the clutch is complete you should be able to see the parent bird on the nest or at least coming or going .
