Subject: Well, its scary....

The guy talks the talk, says everything they want to hear, and there's no substance at all. I guess that's the best he can do.

Made my blood run cold when he said something about a "Freedom Corp" or something like that. I thought, uh oh, here comes the armbands, rallies, and another way to segregate us into another level of "us" and "them." I guess the idea of being left alone is gone.

From what I could tell, the state of the union remains pretty unknown. We have 8 million unemployed, but there are going to be jobs. As far as I could tell, they'll be tax supported jobs to better guard the borders, airports, fire departments, police departments, teachers, and health care. How we'll pay for these jobs wasn't clear.

I don't know. There was nothing there, but the Freedom Corp thing is just scary. I can't think of anything more frightening than a whole gaggle of Bush supporters organized and running around thumping the rest of us. God, when you think of how they busted others for doing patriotism right, how will they deal with those of us who tell them to go away?
