I'll play.

Economics. The drug cartels in Mexico will be subjected to the same level of attention Bush gave bin Laden early on. Every information-gathering tool at our disposal will be placed at the disposal of the Mexican government. Any tools or materials Mexico asks for or will accept will be thrust upon them. The Border Patrol will be reinforced.

Wall Street will still be in denial, but the drop in home prices and construction costs will have created a rally in the mortgage industry, but borrowers will be very closely scrutinized, and securitization will be a dirty word. The stock market will post modest gains year over year, and the government will be able to unload some of the toxic debt we've acquired. Unemployment will remain high through the first half of the year, and labor will get it's card check bill passed. Tax receipts will be flat at best. The EU will be sorely tested by the division between east and west economies, and will lose ground in its quest for further unity.

The drawdown in Iraq will continue on schedule, and the buildup in Afghanistan will have been completed. Karzai's government will fall, and his successor will start by demanding our withdrawal from Afghanistan. Any CIA facilities in Pakistan will have been destroyed by "Taliban", probably wearing Pakistani army uniforms. Iran will be making efforts to stabilize conditions in Afghanistan, particularly in provinces bordering Iran.

Not a prognostication, but a hope: we will begin drawing down our forces in Europe and Korea at a moderate pace that doesn't alarm anyone.
