Well, they [the authorities] seem quite sure they [the authorities] have them [the two alleged snipers] in custody. I hope it is so.

More, I hope that they [the alleged snipers] don't inspire others to undertake similar actions.

I wonder how much the gun control lobby will gain momentum...

I was at a local sporting goods store a few months ago - buying archery stuff for hunting - and almost bought a .223 single shot with a serious scope for target practice and varment hunting [woodchucks and the like]. The weapon and scope came as a package for $225.

One thing I don't understand about gun control, for example v. a v. assault weapons, is that serious shooters don't spray rounds, even if they have semi-automatic weapons. What does banning a specific weapon do? Serious crooks don't usually buy weapons at a store - stupid ones do. I guess we could catch-up stupid crooks.

I'm for tag'n weapons [ casing markings, rifling, etc.] but I'm not sure about individuals giving inventories to authorities. I'm not sure what I'm for or against, really.

Heck, I hunt with a bow and arrow, and a Hawken, 54 cal. blackpowder gun.

Just rambl'n without a point.

Just glad those two are grabbed up.
