I think the need to politicize this whole "terror" thing will create a life of its own which might prove destructive for whatever we imagined us to be. I think the administration has already shown its inability to deal with the real world issues by consuming us while chasing ghosts. I hate to say it, but it reads alot like the Vietnam war script, a problem and a runaway charge at all sorts of "solutions" none of which worked.

Seems absurd to increase oppression in the face of violent protest against oppression, but this administration is doing it -- all the time. And, looks to me like the Patriot Act gives the government carte blanch to do whatever it wants to whomever it chooses for whatever it decides.

Rummy wasn't mis-stating his perceptions when he basically said that to criticize the administration is to support terrorism. They believe that.

They probably will do some work to the guy, but it doesn't matter because whatever he knows can be changed in an instant. It isn't as though they have a huge logistical burden in their methods! So, the administration will spit in the face of all civilized concerns to do what it wants to do to get useless information, then it will blame the "bleeding heart" liberals for its failures to do anything intelligent in the situation.

Stupid people need to value their stupidity because without it, they have nothing.

BTW, I saw GW senior on TV today and you know, he isn't the brightest bulb around, either! Man, he knows what he thinks and he finds somebody who will agree with it no matter what. Those people have busted brains!
