If the report is credible and not some more of the waaaaay right hoaxes, it would seem he had permits to cull, but it might not be okay to sell the wood.

I have no doubt that the forest worker might be on a vendetta -- certainly has happened before.

A major concept is whether or not those lands are owned by THE governmnet versus us and they are managed by people who work for us. The difference isn't casual. I think a letter to your representative should get you an answer.
