I left this board this morning after reading grumpy's post and waded into the R&E board to have some fun at the expense of some who seem absolutely baked into some sort of christian cookie shape. I don't know.

Anyway, you show up, make a good post, I stayed out of it until I read a couple of them blaming those who have needs for breathing, I guess. I lost it and I have to apologize.

You were right to admonish them the way you did. I know you don't like to admonish people, but you were right on. Don't worry about using generalizations. Everybody uses them and a first line of defense among intellectual snobs is their argument against generalizations. Everybody knows a generalization doesn't apply to all, but it applies to some and they know who they are. Drophammer was out of line; generalizations are just fine. If they can't handle the message, they like to kill the messenger.

Anyway, accept my apology, but I'd have to do it again. There's few things that annoy me more than the sanctimonious BS, "We got ours because we're better than other people, so we don't care." Ha!

You made a good post and a good argument and you handled the issue quite well, I think.
