Grumpy, I don't feel as if you dumped on us and I don't believe you did.

Fact is, if we were standing still, there wouldn't be any discussions, and we're certainly not standing still. It will be interesting to see how the Republicans handle the little side show they've started.

I think everything starts with some sort of debate and that's what people like you are good at doing. It isn't like a duty, but it beats yelling at the TV like my Gramps used to do! No matter what, the opposing views shown on the R&E board to the patent responses to Normal's post have an effect. They might not cause anybody to capsize or capitulate, but they exert pressure which cannot be ignored because it is finer and more noble than the Reaganistic babble they shout to drown out their consciences.

You have to see the fun in all that!

But, in their views, they made some interesting points and valid concerns. They realize they are asking questions that nobody is answering; they realize that Bush will wrap himself in his agenda at the expense of everything else.

A gentle nudge is all that is needed now. Nelson was the last one standing and he was babbling.
