See, I like his concept. It is too big, but it is still a start in a better direction than unfettered corporate dominance and control. Grumpy is right, there just isn't any incentive for corporations to concern themselves with social issues. They have guns and they can hire force.

Nader could well represent a suitable alternative, one that will achieve both ends. I think I agree that globalization on nationalistic fronts would be less destructive and disruptive than simply shoving society out of the way so they can build more buildings. The truth is in its focus on people who still need very little and who, for the most part, ask very little. It would be better to have us willing partners than displaced species.

I wish he would make an incursion into the democratic party. I still think that party has potential, but it isn't in its nature to fight something like the Republican machine.
