Could it ever happen here? Probably not. We are all on guard against that type of thing happening here.

What is more likely to happen here is a copy of a Taliban type of situation. Our personal freedoms are being sacraficed daily for the 'greater good'. Look at our current situation. We have a president who is flushing most of the programs for our infrastructure for military and police "protection" in the name of "Homeland Security".

How many of you out there don't cringe at the sight of a cop car in your rearview mirror? How many hear a lot more sireins in the night? Think back to your youth. Were these concerns back then? Did you take it presonally?

The local fish wrapper had a front page story this week about our county and a neighboring county having to share assets to try cases in the court. My question is why are there so many cases.

If I were driving around in a Coup De Ville, I would never worry about cops. People in (new) Coup De Villes don't worry about cops because the cops leave them alone. Why? Because they have enough money to get lawyers who will get them off. There is no money in it for the local government. The cops perfer to arrest people in older vehicles because they know the local government will profit.

With the way the laws (mandated by the fed) are going, we will not be safe in our homes in the forseeable future.

My kids are subjected to searches with cops and dogs once or twice a year in school. You say, "That is good, it keeps the schools safe." I say it is illegal search and ceasure. Our children are being conditioned to accept the fact that the government has a right to come in and search without probable cause.

I am glad that I am old and will not live in the world to come. It is scary. Once the foundation is laid, the building will continue. It is a Tower of Babel but the builders can not see it.

This qualifies as a rant or a wake up call. Our society is so fat and lazy that they cannot see or can see and don't care as long as "It ain't me" what is happening. I hear it in the music but I don't see it on the streets.
