Hi ralph,

Your experience sounds very upsetting and unnerving, but it sounds alot like ubfKoreans. I have some very basic understanding about Koreans in general. For example, they tend to congregate only where there are other Koreans. You see Koreans come to the US and live in urban areas only, not in small towns where they are the only Koreans. Not sure WHY, but they only want to be where there are other Koreans.

It may be the same way in workplace environments too. They may feel a sense of power to have other Koreans around, whom they may feel will support them.

I have a feeling that they may be trying to flex their muscles at you, both as Koreans and as ubfins. They want to dictate the atmosphere of the office, that the ubf styles and behaviors may be the standards for themselves, and possibly for you too. By refering to the Mary Magdalene heresy, you may have set them off. ubfKoreans have been known to fly off the handle, esp at Americans. ubfKorans never fly off the handle when there is only one of them, only when they have some numericla advantages.

I would suggest that you discuss the incident with the supervisor. Make the supervisor aware that these certian people belong to a group, and this group has some strange characteristics that rears up form time to time.

Have you had any other stressful encounters with them, or is it just general 'weirding out' for the most part? have they invited you to any of their wonderful historic events (sarcasm here)? Have any other people in the workplace had the same experience? Is your workplace in the slightest bit worried about people weirding out? Some places just don't care.

Write back and let us know. God bless.
