The great majority of the aspects of indoctrination mentioned on that page match my experience in Chicago UBF. The author attempts to apply the descriptions of indoctrination to medical school, perhaps to the delight of cult apologists, but I think we can all agree that in the real world where most of us live, cult indoctrination and medical school "indoctrination" result in two very different things. And I'm not just talking about the sensational cases (Jonestown, Aum, Knutby, etc.). Cult indoctrination is as real as cults. The sooner we acknowledge that, the sooner we can be equipped to help ourselves or others who have left cults or are still in cults.

One huge difference between cult indoctrination and medical school "indoctrination", that is missing from the web page, and which can probably explain why one indoctrination results in compliant and damaged cult members and the other "indoctrination" results in doctors, is that in cults, you can usually find a dominant "father image".
