My objective in writing my original letter was to compliment the writer of what I considered a very brave letter. I had no desire to get involved in this red herring.

Okay, let's leave it at that.
The problem was not your remark, but in fact I jumped on it because I just wanted to make sure we don't give in to a "bending of the truth" from Fellow Christian. He posted said article as if it were fact, when in reality it's just a biased onesided view, something which FC always suggested WE supposedly had.
Anyways, on the first part I agree with you, the testimony was quite courageous to write, and it was a nice read.
Yet, I don't want to be like the typical UBF'in who says "thank you for your gracious sogam" regardless of the content. Politely, I'd say "Thank you for sharing your story" and from my personal opinion I'd also add "Your story is very interesting, and it quite relates to what I've experienced".

It's interesting how a discussion can drift off topic so quickly, and I apologize. We both got distracted, so let's get back to the point.

In Christ,
Mike K.
