Why is it so hard for UBF people to say, "I am sorry" or "I was wrong"? When rebuke was showered upon my poor head for jeering Karcher, I repented and apologized. It was no big deal. The world continues to spin and as far as I can tell we are all the better. Psalm 141:5 "Let a righteous man strike me-it is a kindness; let him rebuke me-it is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it."

By the way, Karcher seemed to have eagarly snapped up my pitiful little apology as if it were on behalf of all who ever spoke unkindly about UBF and even those who spoke accurately of it! Anyway, he seems to have enjoyed it without once thinking about how well some sort of an apology, some sort of acknoweldgement, would be received by people like us who feel so sorely short changed by UBF. It would be like music to hear one little ol' "We are sorry" on the part of UBF leadership. Is UBF on record for apologizing for anything?

Confession is good for the sole. I am really happy when I can say "I am sorry" or "I was wrong." I really do feel alot better. This is not just my idea, but the Bible's. Jesus says in Matthew 5:25 to "Settle matters quickly with your adversary..." or little things become big things. In 1 John it says "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives."

I will confess here and now that I am nothing but a low-down, good for nothin' two-faced, hornswoggling, proud, arrogant, ignorant, lying, cheating, deceitful, unabashed sinner! If anyone would like to double that list, I will still admit that the half has not been told in these regards.

But one thing I do know, "Christ died for the ungodly." And that while I was still a sinner Christ died for me, the un-Godly. I am happy to know what a sinner I am because that makes me depend even more on Christ. I feel much better when I do not have to keep up the pretense of being righteous and holy. So, I will just confess upfront "I am sorry, I am a sinner!"


Brian, do you think UBF has ANYTHING that it must confess and repent of?
