And how long do you figure it will take for the 2nd generation to break away from the same code language that has been prevalent in UBF for decades?

Just for people like Tony who have not been exposed to UBF code language for years: A message is said to be "full of grace" or "gracious" when the content was in line with UBF doctrine, and most of all, was delivered with utmost confidence with a loud voice. UBF messages need to be rehearsed and practiced like theater plays or music pieces. They need to be shout with a loud voice and accompanied with gestures. Usually during that process, every bit of Holy Spirit is completely quenched out. It is all artificial and orchestrated, though naive members and newcomers may get an impression that it is powerful. However the same applies to the speaches of Benny Hinn or Adolf Hitler. If a speach is carefully studied in and delivered in an emotionally heated atmosphere like a UBF conference, it will touch people, no matter what the content is.

Another trick with such messages is that they mix true Biblical statements with UBF doctrine. First, they read a verse from the Bible, you think "Amen", then it is twisted a little bit to fit in UBF doctrine, then it is twisted a little more. Since you are emotionally captured, it is hard to step back in your mind and say "oh, but that was wrong". No, you will say Amen to the complete message in such an atmosphere. That's how mind control works.

By the way, the word "gracious" is normally (outside of UBF) used to express condescending mercy, and it is very bewildering for newcomers when this word is used as an attribute for anmessage. Nobody outside UBF would understand this. They have created their own language, and obviously inherited it to the 2ndgens.

I think it is also characteristic that the poster was not responsive to Joe's claim that there is still the same type of message training going on. His/her behavior and the next posting completely contradicted the claim that he/she was "genuinely interested in creating dialogue." Sorry, I cannot see this. I can see you truncate the dialogue as soon as it gets real.
