Currently, UBF members are charged $9.00 quarterly for each Daily Bread. That is one page for each day for three months plus some introductory pages for a total of 95 pages. If printing costs are five cents per page that is $4.75. Further costs include binding the booklet and shipping. I estimate that binding and shipping should not cost more than $2.25 per book. Tht leaves $2.00 per book left over. Based on attendance records, UBF distributes an estimated 800 books to the USA and Canada. That would provide UBF with profits of approximately $1,600 per quarter and $6,400 per year. This is a drop in the bucket compared to the millions in the bank, but $6,400 per year is quite significant over thirty years.

If anyone reading this has knowledge of the actual costs of daily bread books or general knowledge of binding and shipping costs to enhance my estimates please respond.
