Another way they package it is to tell you to "look at the whole Bible," because, according to their logic, if you read the whole Bible, you would see that God abused Ezekial and Hosea, Elijah abused soldiers who came to arrest him, Elisha abused some boys who made fun of his baldness, Jesus abused his disciples, Paul abused Timothy, etc.
