It is amazing how the two big German online news websites, Spiegel and N-TV, both well-know as atheistic, suddenly ask about God after the wave tragedy. Both ask in their headlines "How could God permit this?" And interestingly, they don't use it to promote their atheistic view, but try to give Christian answer. Very amazing:

Such catastrophes, as inapprehensible as they may be, have at least one good side: They let people think about their lifes and about God again, they shake up people.
