Anonymous UBF person,

I am aware of the 2002 (after Sam Lee's death) donation to the N. Korean relief organization that was made in the name of Sam Lee--ironic in that Sam Lee probably would not have agreed to make such a donation. The donation came out of the usual large amount collected (mostly under compulsion) at the Chicago UBF X-Mas spectacle. A donation to Afghanistan also reportedly came out of this X-Mas offering.

The amounts donated amount to a tiny fraction of what UBF has accumulated through "world mission" offerings and special offerings over the decades. The donations themselves have been rare including one other donation to World Vision that I can recall.

Are you aware that on at least one occasion, an offering for Bangladesh relief in the 70s was misappropriated? Also, an official UBF statement on a Korean UBF web site put the amount donated later to Bangladesh at a little over $1,000.

>UBF works with other churches and organizations for
>charity and various other activies

Based on my experience, this is pure fantasy. Name a few churches or organizations that "UBF works with for charity and various other activities" so that we can verify your claim.

>There is a large hispanic college student population
>in chicago ubf

This is undoubtedly true since Chicago universities have a large hispanic student population, and Chicago UBF will take virtually anyone to fill up the numbers goal. It is also undoubtedly true that the institutional racism in Chicago UBF meant that hispanic recruits and families were second class citizens, i.e. not "leadership material."

>Dr Samuel Lee went to theological seminary!

...which is something he never seemed to mention, so I don't know where you got that. Even Sarah Barry does not mention this in her "history of UBF." Are you referring to his bogus Ph.D. from the degree mill (Bethany Bible College and Theological Seminary) that he never "went to?"
