(Sorry to drift off topic. This thread should be about supporting a concerned parent. Again, I'm sorry.)

I should mention that the 2002 donation to the Christian Friends of Korea and the other donation to Afghanistan that I'm not sure about were made shortly after Sam Lee died in January of 2002. That means that the 2001 X-Mas offering had already been collected in December of 2001. What has never been answered is what the original plan for the 2001 X-Mas offering was prior to Sam Lee's death. The impression I get is that the usually very large X-Mas offering was collected with no clear stated purpose of how it would be used, which was often the case with the X-Mas offering in the 90s. The decision to make the donations seems to have been made hastily after Sam Lee's death, 3 weeks to a month after the offering was actually collected. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

UBF was, of course, delighted that the donation to Christian Friends of Korea bought them some access to N. Korea. It was through this donation that Barry was able to make a sight-seeing trip to N. Korea.
