This is a good question. Maybe there was an inkling of
regret or guilt. When answering to criticism, Sharon
is relatively down-to-earth to a small degree. Meaning,
she feels that since EVERYBODY is a sinner, they surely
might've done something negative, or failed to do some-
thing positive when necessary. However, if you mention
the criticism more than once, she will turn it around and
start to question, "so what did YOU do that was wrong?"
and "it's not all on us, y'know...".

Sharon has said to me personally, "I can imagine that in
certain ways we've really failed you." She's also said,
"You left a big hole in our fellowship", generally meaning
that I am greatly missed IMHO. :)

The two main women in the chapter here, Sharon Schafer and
Jennifer Lemmon, I have a great deal of affection for,
despite their faults.

Ummm... I actually believe that Sam Lee made it up by
himself, as, at the time that she left, there weren't any
"promising shepherd candidates" at UBF here. Actualy, at
the time she left, there weren't any shepherds, PERIOD,
save for the Schafers themselves! Maybe Sam Lee inter-
polated one by thinking that the annoying slob she ran off
with could've been a UBF shepherd. However he never
showed his face around any UBF place.

Remember, it's not unlike SL to make stuff up. :)
