And yes, some of the poorest people in the US do get access to those facilities. For the same standard operation, the costs of healthcare is much greater than it is in the UK.
There are waiting lists on the NHS for non-urgent operations and some people, with wealth, choose to have those operations at cost. With the strength of the pound against the dollar, I suppose some of those people choose to go to places like America.
The NHS is perhaps a little underfunded but the principle of having a free at the point of service healthcare, I think, is still an aspirational one, especially for the children of your country, rich or poor.
To see major improvements in terms of cost of health care, perhaps a greater overhaul is necessary than the ones Clinton and Obama propose.
You have education for all, emergency service for all, why not healthcare for all? We in the UK do not have dentistry for all in the UK, apart from free check-ups. Some people get assistance and all children are not covered.
I can not decide whose plan is better suited towards this aim, Obama's or Clinton's.
