Gee, it's getting harder to wake up on Sundays now. And I haven't even been going to Mass since before I was married in December. In fact, I haven't been going to any church service since I was married. For some reason I feel a little guilty about it, but then I'm still kind of angry that the Catholic church would not marry me and my husband, because I had been divorced. It's kind of hypocritical for the Church to deny my wedding, yet they are paying millions to victims of corrupt priests. I'm glad my late parents never had to find out about the pediophile scandals and that many priests were closet gays. The world sure is changing--for the worse.
Me, Chato, and my husband finally got to see Barack up close this past Friday evening. He was at a Verizon Center stage near Selma, Texas. The crowd was ENORMOUS! It was such a refreshing change to see young, old, Latino, White, African-American, Asian coming together as one group, all Regular, Everyday PEOPLE--not Rich Lobbyists or snobs--all supporting Barack Obama. I am praying that he becomes our next president.
Well, surprise, surprise, Mukasey isn't going to go after Harriet Miers or that other fellow (Bolton?) to answer why they refused to show up for their subpoenas last year--all on account of that damn "executive priviledge" crappola. I knew he'd be a change from Gonzales, but I guess I was wrong--he's still being Attorney General first for the White House, then for We the People.
I haven't heard anything lately if Exxon has already invaded (what other term can I use but the TRUE term--they ARE invading Iraq) the city of Basra in southern Iraq, ready to start working and drilling those OIL fields. I had read that they were waiting for some Blackwater security people to come and protect them before they cross the border; but I haven't heard if they're in Basra yet.
So, Bush is back here in Texas cutting the brush, playing host to a meeting with some Danish official, all while the country falls apart. Kind of reminds me of Ancient Rome, when Nero played the harp while Rome burned. All I can say is YOU who voted for Bush and the Repub majority are to be blamed for what Bush has done to destroy the US Constitution, for trying to be King George and for starting a war that was ILLEGAL, IMMORAL and just plain EVIL against a country that had NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING to do with September 11, 2001! (PLUS a few chicken s**t Dems who were too scared to go against the Moral Majority).
I can't wait until CHANGE comes to this country. Then we can get back our Allies, be proud once again of being Americans from the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and mainly, GET THE HELL OUT OF IRAQ!
