I live in Mo just a little south of KC. We usually get a lot of snow and rain with cold winters here, but then it can get real hot in the summer.

I just started noticing them, so I don't know much about yuccas. Up until last year, I knew there were the ones that stayed short and only grew in clumps. I didn't know there were so many species. WOW! The one I would like is one I saw down at the OKC zoo in Oklahoma last summer. I asked what it was and they told me, but the only thing I could remember was yucca. It had a big fat round trunk like an old tree, and just guessing, was about 15 to 20 feet tall, long thick leaves that stuck way out at the top. Just like a palm tree.
