Indoor Arenas

.. opening the door you step onto a soft mixture of shavings a dirt, almost fluffy beneath your feet . to your right is a door that leads to a raised, heated viewing area of the 4 areanas . straight ahead is the first of the 4 - a general areana, with a few jumping standards and poles for jumping and ground-work . turning right along the end wall of the oval ring you may walk along beneath the plexi-glass windows of the viewing area 6' above your head to the far side of the ring where there is an opening, closed off by a rope . opening this guard and following through you enter the second ring, viewing windows still continuously overhead . this second ring is for strictly jumping, containing many multicolored jumping standards & poles and building blocks to make walls of . continuing to pass on you follow through into a dressage ring where there are crisp letters printed on the walls . some ground polls lay in a stack at one end in case someone wanted to work some cavaleti . following down the line you come to the last ring . it was for the western riders, barrels placed in the corners for use when a rider wanted them and many other various things that might appear in shows . each areana had a door at the opposite end leading out to the pastures and around to the barns and was equipped with soft lights and the viewing area up above on the near wall to where you stood . enjoy your ride ..

she leads in Tabr who was only wearing a rope halter/bridle and heads toward the western arena to get the mare back in top shape. Once there Hein easily swings herself up onto the mares back before walking and troting her around in circles to warmup. ~Tabr snorts and nods her head ready to do barrels and poles~ Hein smiles, slips off the mare and arranges the barrels. She remounts the mare and moves her to the far side of the arena before signaling her forward, grabing a handful of mane. ~Tabr jets forward not even needing guidence for this event, she quickly does the cloverleaf pattern and slide stops to a still in front of the fence

[:ashleigh turned the big stallyon beneath her into a open ring. stroking his neck, she whispered softly to him. she rode completly bareback and with no other tack, cobalt listened to her well. turning him toward the first jump - a oxer. heeling cobalt's side gently she moved him into a canter toward the jump, for they had alright warmed up. sable bronc moved into an easy, rolling canter. silken tail 'whipping' behind him and slender legs eating up the distance. the two, amber eyes focased steadily on the oxer and he awaited for her question. ash got into postition on his back and counted paces, 1-2-3. then she gave him the signal. cobalt shifted his hooves and with a powerful thrust of his hind 'quarters. the slender fore-legs folded beneath his chest and the supple neck elongated, carven head bobbed gently. over they flew. with the grace of a cat he landed on the otherside and threw up a cloud of dust. well-formed legs struck out and he loped toward the next jump. she carefully watched the next jump - a tricky one. ashleigh began to count strides, waiting. . .

. sleek appendages carried bronze youth out onto th' emerald blades beyond th' enclosure, flutted orilles swiveling to sounds of th' 'domesticated' animals and fellow companions - was this what he wanted ?

. tail flicked across muscular haunches as rebel turned 'round again to gaze inquisitively at th' fille, soft whinny 'scaping lips - he could not leave her .. eyes drifted to th' humans, respectful but not trusting he watched them closely, nostrils dilated .

. lobes fluttered back quietly t'wards th' pastures and paddocks, listening .

((ooc- I'm looking for someone who might want to keep him as a herd stallion in the pastures with some broodmares, possibly train him if they want to try.. :) hehe, I'm having fun developing this character))

*He hops off his large quarter horse, Jackson, and drags out a bale of hay with a fake set of bull horns and legs sticking out. This would have to do, since he had not seen any calves or bulls in the Ranch. He makes his way back to Jackson, who hadnt moved an inch, and mounts him. He circles him around the arena at a trot and stops him in a 'corner'. He gives the signal and Jackson goes from a dead stop to a full gallop and races towards the bale of hay with Bart swinging the lasso above his head. He throws it as he gallops by, and swings his legs over the saddle and runs over. Jackson immediately turns and backs up, keeping tension on the rope between the saddle horn and the hay. Bart walks up to Jackson and pats him on the shoulder* That was a good time, buddy. If there were any rodeos 'round here, theres no doubt we'd have 'em beat. We make a good team. If only there were real cattle to practice on. *He laughs than looks around, making sure nobody heard him. He must have sounded crazy. The only people he'd seen around here were the dressage and english riders. He mounts Jackson, and has him pull the bale of hay off to the side of the arena, than heads out*

She brings Feather Wind to the center of the arena and lunges her out into a large circle on the right rein.Leting her keep her head low and check out her new surroundings.She suddenly spooks at another horse a pulls on the mine as she gallops and bucks. Harmony , Being realaxed calms her dwon to an easy swaying trot.Harmony clucks and gently brings Feather Wind round.She lunges Feather Wind over a trot pole for a few times.Then does it once in a slow steady canter.She brings Feather Wind into the center and changes reain, doing all the same exercises on the left rein perfectly.She cools Feather Wind out and lets her go loose for a roll , sqealing with joy Feather Wind gallops off bucking rearing and crowhopping happily.Harmony calles her back and Feather Wind gallops back covered in dirt.Harmony Giggles and ties Feather Wind to a post.Brushes and beging to clip and bathe Feather Wind , hoping to meet someone..�

*She trots him around the ring once just to get him warmed up and then works on a serpentine and makes it perfect. She does a pattern starting off by walking a half circle and then trots in a diagnol. She then canters down the rail and drops her stirups and does a half circle walking and then picks her stirrups back up and just canters around the arena three times. She notices that Leader's footer isn't as good as usual so she dismounts and checks it out. She notices that on his left front leg he has a gash.* "Leader what did you do?" *She thinks back to early this morning when he kicked at his stall latch* "You must have cut it on the latch." *Sighs and walks him to the vet*
