Subject: The interuption (Shockwave #3)

{NoBody climbs into the ring, a mic in hand. Springheel Jack stands defiantly in the middle of the ring. NoBody circles the Champion as the crowd chants “No-Bo-Dy! No-Bo-Dy!” NoBody climbs a turnbuckle, to the roar of the crowd.}

Smash: These two men have been in this situation before. They have an uneasy relationship built on their mutual respect for each other’s violent ways. But is that just the calm before the storm?

NoBody: I’ve got to hand it to him, folks. This guy here is one hell of a champion.

{The crowd roars. Springheel Jack cracks a slight smile}

NoBody: He comes out here, alone, not a single, solid, proven ally in the entire Promotion and he calls out The Awakening? He calls out Paul Maxx? That takes balls. That takes the brutality of a warrior and the heart of a true champion. Yep, this man standing here is one hell of a champion. BUT he will not be The Most Dominating Singles Champion after Shockwave, because once I whoop Phenom’s ass and take that World Title and put it where it belongs, around my waist, it will be a proven fact that I AM THE Most Dominating Champion of All-Time! So Springheel Jack, you enjoy that title you’ve bestowed upon yourself for two more weeks. Because at Shockwave, after you beat the hell out of Jack Hammer and I beat the hell out of Phenom, you’ll be a distant second in the ranks of Champion!

{Springheel Jack smirks}

Springheel Jack: You’ve got to win that title first, NoBody.

{NoBody gets up in Springheel Jack’s face}

NoBody: And I will. But I’m not here to talk about my World Title match with Phenom. No, no. And I’m certainly not out here to talk about you, so shine your title up, and get the hell out of my ring. You’re on my time now!

{Springheel Jack stares at NoBody as the crowd roars. The champion gets right in his face, and NoBody smiles. Jack smirks, pats his title, turns, and steps out of the ring. He walks up the ramp, staring at NoBody the whole time. When he disappears backstages, NoBody begins to speak again.}

NoBody: Springheel Jack’s tirade against The Awakening reminded me of the other “wonderful” group to grace our company in the past month, the walking garbage known as The Higher Powers.

{The crowd boos}

NoBody: Ensign, Black Flame, I caught you two out here earlier tonight and I have got to say…what the hell is wrong with you two fruits?

{The crowd roars}

NoBody: I mean, a bleeding eye? A dead end? The end of a chapter? Erase this, red stuff that, and a line or two that rhymed? What in the sweet hell are you Higher Powers smoking back there? Whatever the hell it is, make sure you cut it out before our match at Shockwave. I want to make sure you two can find your way down to this ring so that I can kick your asses one by one! And as for Phenom and I, do you boys honestly think that just because the two of us are going toe-to-toe later on that night it’ll be any easier for you to beat us at Shockwave? Let me tell you this. Phenom can’t hold a candle to me, but you two aren’t even in his league. The two of you are beneath me, are beneath Phenom, and are beneath the Tag Team Titles. And if you honestly think either Phenom or myself would sabotage this championship match just to screw the other, then you don’t belong in this company. Phenom may be a corporate kiss-ass. He may have coasted these past few months on his name. And he will meet a far superior opponent when he steps into the ring against me at Shockwave, but Phenom has one thing you two will never has. He has heart! He’s one-half of the Tag Team Champions, and just like me, he’s not going to relinquish that title without a fight! And let’s be honest, you two boys couldn’t bring a fight to us if we were both home with the flu! So say what you want. Dabble in the black arts, recite poetry in the ring, make some more eyes bleed. Hell, you can sacrifice a live chicken if it makes you feel better. But the fact of the matter is, come Shockwave, you will find out that you boys just don’t have what it takes to be Champions in the Pheonix Promotion! SO SAYS MY ASS, you sorry sons of bitches!

{With that, NoBody tosses his mic down. “Wait n Bleed” hits again, and the man takes to a turnbuckle to salute the fans. He steps down and over the ropes, and heads backstage under the roar of the crowd.}
