Subject: Making Monday Night Interesting (Blaze #1)

{At a Pheonix Promotion House Show a maniacal laugh is heard over the PA, followed by a strong voice whispering “The Madness is Back!” The crowd is on their feet as “Wait n Bleed” hits and pyros boom throughout the arena. Through the smoke at the top of the ramp walks NoBody, and the crowd erupts in cheers. NoBody heads down to the ring, climbs a turnbuckle, and calls for a mic. He then steps back down into the ring and begins pacing about.}

NoBody: Let’s get one damn thing straight right the hell now. Last night, at Blaze, I won my match, but not the way I wanted to. Hell no. A DQ? Because The Icon hit me with a chair? That referee is a goddamn pussy!

{Crowd pops}

NoBody: Icon, I was beating your ass from ring post to ring post, and you did the only thing you could think of to end that ass-kicking I was giving you, and that’s to get yourself disqualified. So as far as I’m concerned, you’re a goddamned pussy, too!

{Crowd erupts}

NoBody: If it was up to me, that match woulda kept going. Hell, I’d still be kicking your ass right now if the damn ref hadn’t called for the bell. I was having that much fun. If it was up to me, that whole match would have been No-DQ, so that I could have had even more fun with your pathetic self. If it was No-DQ, you could have hit me with that chair again and again and again and again. And you know what? I would have taken it again and again and again and again. You could go through every damn chair in this whole arena, and I’d still be here, standing tall, because it takes a hell of a lot more than a chair to take me out. It takes a hell of a lot more than you’ve got, Icon. I can guarantee that.
I get you in the ring again next Monday night, Icon, but it’s gonna be a crowded scene. It’ll be you and that piece of crap Venom against me and The Undisputed World Champion, Phenom-

{Crowd pops. NoBody stares at them}

NoBody: -in a tag team match. I’m saying we make this match No-DQ, because at Blaze, Icon and Venom thought they’d be tough nailing me with a chair, and I’m just itching to return the favor!

{Crowd pops}


NoBody: We all know that Icon and Venom are garbage, but what about my partner for Blaze? What about Phenom? That’s right, Champ, I’m calling your bluff. Phenom, I know you. I know what you’re doing. You’re riding your name out, you’re making sure you hold onto that title for as long as you possibly can. That’s why you’ve chosen to take on The Icon at Pheonix Rising.
The biggest night of the year, the show to end all shows, and you want to be on top that night. You want to make damn sure that you get your win, your title defense on that night. You want to make sure that you walk out of Pheonix Rising as the Champion of the World! That’s why you’re not facing the better man, hell, the best man this industry has to offer. That’s why you and me aren’t stepping into that ring at Pheonix Rising. That’s why I’m not getting the title shot I deserve. You want to hog all the glory at Pheonix Rising, just like you did at Disturbance. That’s right, that night I did all the work. I kicked all the ass. But when the match was coming to an end, when I’d worn myself out by beating the hell out of three men for thirty minutes, you step in and take what should have been mine. At Blaze all four of us’ll be in the ring, once again. You know what that means, don’t you? It means that I’ll be doing all the ass-kicking, and Phenom, you’ll still find a way to get the win. That’s because you’ll be on my side, and when I put down Icon and Venom for good, you’ll be right there, the ref raising your hand, too. But don’t you worry, Champ, I don’t mind doing all the work. Hell, I love kicking the crap out of those two son’s of bitches. I’ll even make sure that you won’t have to break a sweat…or a nail. Wouldn’t want our champion looking bad, now would we? But you watch me in that ring on Monday night, Phenom. You watch me and know what I know, what all these people know, that I am the better man. You watch me, and then you try and tell these fans that it shouldn’t be me walking into that ring at Pheonix Rising. We’ll all be watching you, Phenom. Me and every single person here tonight. We’ll be watching you, and waiting, waiting for that moment when it’s my time to take that belt away from you! Icon, Venom, you boys have one week ‘till it’s time for The Madness to consume you. But Phenom, oh Phenom, you get to choose just how long you can hold out until The Madness comes for you!

{With that, “Wait n Bleed” again hits over the PA system and NoBody raises his fists. The crowd erupts in cheers for the man as he steps over the ring ropes and heads backstage.}
