Subject: On Ensign and Nightmare Pt. I

{At a Pheonix Promotion House Show, the crowd stirs as a fog pours into the arena. “Sweet Dreams” hits over the PA system and the crowd begins to boo. Throw the swirling mists at the top of the ramp walks Springheel Jack! The crowd is covering the Champion with boos as he walks down to the ring, his title slung over his shoulder.}

Rip: That’s the International Champion, Springheel Jack!

Springheel Jack: Nightmare! I’ve got one question for you. Are you going to make it to Blaze for our match, or are you quitting this company again? You see, there’s always the chance that you’ll just walk out on The Pheonix Promotion, so I have to get that out there in the open right off the bat. I sure as hell hope you show up, because I’ve got an entire company’s pent up rage surging through my body, and these fists are going to bring down that wrath upon you on Monday night!

{Mix of cheers and boos}

Springheel Jack: That’s right, Nightmare. I may not get along with anyone in the back. They may all be jealous of me because I am the most Glorious champion in the company, and because I am the only Singles champion who brings any pride with him into the ring, and because I can kick the living hell out of any one of them at any given moment. But those boys in the back respect me. They know that even if I have a problem with them, or if they have a problem with me, I’m still going to be here, giving 100%, night in and night out. And these fans, they may hate my guts. It may boil their blood that I’m standing here in this ring holding this grand title, keeping it away from their favorites, but they know that I’ll always be here, in this ring, giving them a fight to watch. They may pay their money to come here to boo the hell out of me, but they pay that money knowing that I’ll show up! You, you Nightmare? It’s a whole ‘nother story. Everyone knows that you’re always going to be one tantrum away from quitting. One “not getting your way” away from walking out on this company again. That the next worthy opponent that you face might cause you to turn tail and run for the second time. Well guess what, Nightmare? I AM that worthy opponent, and I WILL be in this ring come Monday night. I just hope you bring your sorry ass to meet me!

{The crowd cheers loudly}

Springheel Jack: And Nightmare, quit having your new bitch, Ensign Pheonix, fight your battles for you. If you’ve got something to say, then you say it yourself. Otherwise, none of us need to hear that punk stroke your ego for you. Ensign, you talk a tough game for another two-bit chump who ran away from this company. You rode to the top by sucking up to anyone and everyone you could, don’t you ever forget that. Your talent got you nowhere. Your talent wouldn’t even get you in the door here anymore. And your talent certainly doesn’t back up all the shit you’re talking on me and the rest of the guys in this company you disgraced by walking out. So Ensign, if you want to keep running your mouth about how much better you think you are than me, I’ve got just one thing to say-

{Before he can finish, the Big Screen shows NoBody stepping out of the locker room. He is smiling and shaking his head back and forth as he makes his way through the backstage area. It becomes clear that he is heading out to the arena. Suddenly, the screen switches over to his entrance video, and “Wait n Bleed” blares throughout the arena as Springheel Jack just stands in the ring, awaiting NoBody’s entrance.}

Rip: What the hell is this? Is NoBody coming out here?
