Subject: Reflection

[Scene begins with Smash sitting down in the room where a interview would take place involving Ensign Pheonix. Right before Ensign comes in the room, Smash is seen going over his questions. Ensign comes in and two greet by shaking hands, and then sit down for the interview. Smash starts off first.]

Smash: Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with me.

EP: No problem, your welcome.

Smash: Your last speech has raised alot of questions regarding Phenom and yourself. The two of you don't mesh well, yet there are a few similarites.

EP: Stop right there.

Smash: Sure.

EP: Do you know the difference between biological and professional?

Smash: You knew I was aiming at the "father" comment, huh?

EP: Yes.

Smash: Phenom has caused your life to be a living hell. His sneak attack, putdowns, and tring to rob the one you love and possibly your friends too, yet you used the name-term "father?" The million dollar question is why?

EP: Everything that Phenom has said and done to me...(Stops for a moment to think then speaks again.) I've read inbetweenn the lines, looked outside the box. It wasn't easy at first, but I figured it out. The message and motive of Phenom is crystal clear.(Stops for a moment, looks at Smash and smiles. Smash uses this time to ask another question.)

Smash: What is the message and motive of Phenom?

EP: I thought you'd never ask. Phenom needs his legacy to continue, to live on, so who better then me?

Smash: Do you have pity for Phenom?

EP: You think I'm saying and doing all of this, because I have pity for Phenom?

Smash: That's just the impression I got. Phenom's past and present accomplishments can stand on it's own and provide his legacy to live on.

EP: Good statement, but not good enough. Who in this Enterprise does Phenom hate and fought most? Who has taken before and currently still has Phenom's creation, the Excalibur World Championship?

Smash: Well, when you put it that way, all the questions answer to you. Why would Phenom want you to carry his legacy? It would make more sense for a good friend or real relative to take on that job. Not a great nemesis of his, but that's just my opinion on the matter.

EP: Enemies have a better understanding of eachother. Surely, you can see the significates in that?

Smash: To a point, yes, but please go on.

EP: Phenom is a enigma. When suited best to be revealed, Phenom is very relentless and formidable. A fighter with a high sense of honor and pride. A true, worthy champion. It's of no wonder why Phenom is indeed a legend and icon. This is what I know of Phenom, and he knows that. I've got the "never say die" and champion spirit, so despite being enemies, deep down Phenom's heart and mind, he knows and I'll even go has far as to say, he even respects that from me, so I am his choice.

Smash: I must say, you make a good arguement there. Do you consider yourself Phenom's succeeder?

EP: Alot of people might look at it that way, but in all honesty, this isn't about who's better then the other, it's about keeping the legacy on, plain and simple.

Smash: What's in this for you?

EP: Keeping our beloved fans happy. Despite being enemies, I don't want Phenom to ever think that all that he has done for me and the Pheonix Enterprise will be forgotten.

Smash: That's very sentimental of you, but if you don't mind me asking, are you saying all of that personally or professionally?

EP: Both.

Smash: Very touching. One last question.

EP: Sure, go for it.

Smash: What should we expect from you when 2003 comes?

EP: If there's no interuptions involving my personal life or the Pheonix Enterprises, then all I can say is, expect the absolute best from your's truly. Enough said for now, so says...Ensign Pheonix!!

[Scene ends with the two shaking hands, then Ensign departing from the room. Smash ends the interview in his own way. Fades out.]
