Let's tell it like it was about Ron Texiera. The kid had no guts at all. Hochstein intimidated him because Keith was everything Ron was not.

Donohue tried to make Ron tougher and refused to cater to this 6'9" pansy. Ron wouldn't hear of it and did the same thing all cowards do....HE QUIT.

Short story. No more to it.

When he bulked up to 275 there were rumors that he might try football. That was a joke. He wasn't tough enough for basketball much less fighting it out on the line of scrimmage.

Smart kid. Good student. Just totally lacking in guts and toughness. No heart at all.

Well, guts or no guts, great playing ability or lack thereof, both of these guys seemed to have turned out alright. One of my classmate/buddies was in the same Italian class with Ron and he was a good student, one of the best in the class. Don't know how he uses that Italian nowadays.

The HC on-line directory lists Keith as the principal of a middle school in Massachusetts and Ron is president and owner of Advanced Water Quality Systems, also in Massachusetts.

We'll never know what could have been.
