Jason Moy of USCHO has an interesting Matrix on the Web today: http://www.uscho.com/news/2004/07/07_008591.php.

He rates various aspects of the 5 applicants and finds the Cross 3rd behind Quinnipiac and Niagara. Very interesting as our Women's program (D III) and committment work against us notwithstanding that we are No. 1 in academics and media market.

It's the only thing I could find and there is no leak on what was discussed or decided yesterday.

Moy's column is bs (I hope). He applies equal weight to each category, which isn't the case. He doesn't calculate how much money each respective school is planning to pump into its athletic program in the short term and over the long term given its financial/endowment strength. He doesn't capture the intangible factors with regard to each school's history and relationship with the other ECAC schools. He doesn't factor in other hockey venues -- i.e. alternative game sites -- for all the schools cited. And he doesn't know what each school promised behind closed doors and on and on.

I suspect that time will tell. I am not vouching for his article, just sharing it as there appears to be nothing else out there.
