When this ECAC Hockey thing drifts off and football season starts, just keep what follows in mind periodically....particularly when we play Colgate and Lehigh !

" The other challenge I should mention concerns football. Lehigh and Colgate are spending dramatically more on financial aid than we are in this sport. Right now, we are spending as much as the College's budget can handle. We are going to need to find some way of bridging the gap if those schools keep up with their current level of spending. "....Dick Regan - 2002

Doesn't quite jive with the following beauty, does it....

" I am genuinely enthused about the proposed new league and its affiliation with the Ivy League. Its formation would certainly afford Holy Cross a wonderful opportunity to maintain an attractive and competitive football schedule in the years ahead. I am especially encouraged by the fact that the presidents of the affiliate institutions are taking a strong interest in the league, and are prepared to commit their time and energies to the development and maintenance of common policies that would be both academically and athletically sound. "....Rev. John E. Brooks, S.J. September - 1983

WAH HAPPENED to the 'affiliation' with the Ivy League, the 'attractive and competitive football schedule' ( see Duquesne, Marist, St. Mary's, Fairfield !!! )....and best of all, in light of Dick Regan's on-the-record statement above, the 'development and maintenance of common policies' among Patriot members ????

How much do you think the school could get on e-bay for a second hand Taylor & Boody organ?
