I couldn`t agree more with you, to anybody you ask why we have an green arc,nobody have a definite answer... (AC says it Bombardier, Bombardier says it TC...)

From a ex test pilot on the RJ, he explain to me that the green arc was for single-engine operation with cowl and wing on and the 14th stage valve open.

It make sense, since so little power maintain the end of the wing at 104 C. (Trick for early morning to BOS, break and egg on the leading edge, turn on the wing anti-ice in flight and enjoys your scramble eggs in Boston)

Anyway it always the lawyers take make our lives difficult...
