I am not sure to understand your comments, about the max\std TAT. It is not really necessary since the values for N1 and opt Altitudes are for ISA+10, and it does not get above this value very often. So if the FL is there your can normally climb there. Our flight plan reflect that normally.

I use the ppas to see wich speed we should fly (like we all do ;-) ). And correct the N1 value for the temp.

EX: .2 N1 for every degree celcius away from isa+10.

Let's say it ISA+4 so we are 6 degree off. so 6X .2=1.2 N1,less than the one on the ppas. ( 86.2 now 85.0)

And if the temperature is above just add.

It works for me.
