Subject: He cocked his head a little bit - she was his sister, afterall, and it was Christmas, which was when you were supposed to be truthful and set aside grudges and all that sort of thing. Maybe she wasn't evil, but he was slowly working his way toward forgiving her for springing him from jail. "Merry Christmas.." although she didn't look too merry, and he picked up on that too.
