"I just can't help it." She smiled though, the smile betrayed the tears welling up in her eyes, and she took her hand from Aly's to cover her mouth apologetically almost as she willed her tears back into her head -- she could be terribly emotional and now seemed to be no exception. "I would have been better off without, wouldn't I have?" She offered her daughter another brave smile and then, seeing Danny's car arrive with the flock of girls that they'd all gone out to dinner with the night before as a little 'salute' to the marriage taking place together, craned her neck to seek out Adam, who had been struggling with his own battles as of late -- it was hard to let his little girl go.

He had made his way through the crowd, headed to where the priest performing the service was standing nearby to impart a couple of words of wisdom. His father had insisted on the same Holy Man that had overseen the christening of his sons and performed the marriage for he and Tassia, regardless of the fury and anger that had been going on around them, through the families when they had gotten together. His stomach flip-flopped with nerves as he greeted the man with as firm a handshake as he could muster, he just wasn't doing well -- he was excited, but this was new and crazy, and terrifying, actually, for him. He took a deep breath, begging himself not to throw up.

This was probably the most social that she had been, this, in the last few days, fluttering around with Aly. She had been experiencing some serious depression since they'd brought little Isaiah home, but together, she and Danny, and even Charlie and Aly, they were all working through it, everyone had been such a great help since she'd brought the baby home. She was losing stamina, but she was determined to keep herself together -- this was a time of celebration, and celebrate she was going to. It seemed strange, for her to have a baby, and for Aly to be married, they were growing up, coming a long way from their days of college drunkenness, of playing with 'bad boys', of being determined on self destruction. She made her way across the sand, it wasn't exactly the most ideal surface in the winter, frozen and unstable, but she worked her way across, looking back at Danny, who cradled Isaiah in his arms, coming along behind them. Danny, sweet Danny. She would never be able to forgive herself ever for having thought life might have been better without him. She was just foolish, that was all. She finally made it to her friend, reaching out to clutch her forearms excitedly. "This is it girl, any last words?" A broad smile crossed her beautiful mahogany features.
