He was literally bursting at the seams as they waited for the officiary to get to the point in the ceremony where he was finally able to put into words what he had been thinking all of this time. Though he loved her and she knew it and he had told her many times, he had agonized for weeks over the correct words to use in his vows -- these were important -- they were special, They were more important than any words he would ever say to her, ever. Words that people would remember forever. He waited, rocking on his toes, until the father looked at him, making eye contact, and nodding. He cleared his throat, and took a moment to compose himself before beginning.

"Alysia.. I take you to be not only my wife, but my constant friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward, until the end of the time. In the presence of God, our family and friends and all of these people who mean the world to us, I offer you my solemn promise to be your faithful and loving partner in sickness and in health, in the best and brightest times and in the worst and darkest times that come in our lives, and in joy and happiness as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in all of your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live. You are my partner, my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did before regardles of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love."
