Subject: "I was just going to say a computer system..." He trailed off, his brow furrowed as he looked up at her - not really expecting the huge attitude from her. "Look, Mia, yesterday you bitched at me because I was concerned and singled you out, today your appearing to be angry because I am treating you like any other waitress. If you have something better that you would rather be doing then talking to me right now, then please, feel free. I don't need pity chatter." His jaw set heavily, getting aggravated now so he did what he always did - focused completely on the work in front of him.
In reply to: Mariah 's message, "

I'm just a girl, all pretty and petite
So don't let me have any rights

  • "God, Austin, I'm sorry if I'm having a little bit of trouble with all this." Her brows furrowed gently and she shifted slowly to stand - it was hardly that she would prefer to study then talk to him, she just didn't know how to handle this. "I don't want to chit-chat with you like we're just some run-of-the-mill friends, and I have never pitied you in your life - why would I start now?" Clearly troubled, she shook her head slightly and reached for her bag, voice catching just softly. "And I'm a bartender, not a waitress." (NT) -- Mia, 10:01:25 11/03/04 Wed
