Anyone else and he never would have put up with any sort of trashing, but Savatore was family and easily one of the most important people in his life - he was allowed to stick his nose in Luke's business, as long as it was justified. With a low sigh, he just listened quietly to what Sav was saying, falling easily into his tendency to carefully analyze everything. Half the time, he couldn't say the right thing if his life depended on it, and the other half of the time he couldn't put a foot wrong because he was so meticulous when thinking things through. He was still stuck in that uncertain realm between being a kid and being an adult. Finally, he just nodded a bit and shifted his gaze to eye his friend squarely - the other boy carried so much weight on his shoulders already, he didn't want to add to it but he wasn't comfortable just leaving things unsolved. "I really think though that if something happens that I'm not happy in the future, it won't be because I chose to be with her... Maybe it won't be easy, but I'd rather deal with tough than settle for anything." He broke a small half-smile and shook his head a bit - the expression was humorless, but gentle. "I feel the same was every time I try to imagine what's going to happen in the next year for you, Sav. Things are going to get messy for everyone, but it'll be a whole easier if you're on my side..."
