The steady beat of the bass blaring through the speakers was intoxicating and almost hypnotizing. He cocked a brow at her and shrugged again, innocent as a newborn or so he liked to be imagined.

  • Sharayah let an amused smile flicker over her full lips as she held his gaze, keeping her face close to his a moment longer before she relaxed back intot he booth, bringing her drink to her lips with one hand while her other arm dropped to the table gently, her fingers tracing over his forearm as he hand his hand up her leg. She knew jake well enough to know he was no more innocent than satan.
