"Colden. I should probably remind you that he looks like he's sleeping, but you never know what might get through into his little mind." She muttered with a slight scolding tone to her voice and pinched at his skin, frowning up at him. She couldn't help but laugh though at the indignant tone to his voice. He was a proud guy, that much was obvious, but she appreciated that he hadn't spoken up when he could have - she didn't exactly want her whole entire family knowing those sort of specifics of her personal life. Her fingers ran up his back to his shoulder blades and then back down to rest at his waist band again as they strolled, her nails softly raking his warm skin. "It's a little ways still... I told you it wasn't close. We're getting there." She assured him with a soft laugh and looked over to Aaron again, carefully judging the boy's status before shifting her wide, dark gaze up to meet Cole's again. "I am, by the way. Nice afterthought." Her tone was gently teasing, because he had actually been prepared and she couldn't fault him on that - it was just amusing how he thought to ask after the fact.
