(He hunted down the man who had worked on the girl, first getting any information he could on the case then getting him to talk for a few minutes about his condition. There had been a lot of advancements in treatment options since had been diagnosed, and the doctor recommended he go on a few kinds of medication at once to curb the highs and lows into a mainstream. He would have to talk to Kate about it though, see if that was what she wanted him to do.. he knew she would rather him be better.. but he didn't know how the medication would affect him, if it would make him sedated he wouldn't do it. He rejoined her in the lobby about a half an hour later, reaching behind him and under his jacket to itch the spot where his gun rested on his back, it bothered him sometimes. He smiled at her, offering her his hand.) I think Nick and Karlie are going to be a while, want to grab a bite? (She took a deep breath, wincing as she felt the pull in her rib muscles.) How bad is it? (She asked, honestly not knowing.. it was strange to wake up somewhere and be told that you had been attacked and not know anything about it. . it would have made her angry if she hadn't been full of morphine and fluids. The nurse walked in to check her blood pressure, her eyes and her response to stimulus. She handed Nick a brown paper bag, explaining that there were eye drops for later if she complained, and some light narcotics for pain. He could take her home as soon as he was ready to, she was stable enough.)

She nodded a little bit, she had been almost dozing off while she waited for him but was brought back to attention by his words. "Yeah...sure." She murmured softly, letting out a quiet breath as she stood, shrugging on her own jacket and slipping her hand into his. She gave his fingers a light squeeze and then let him lead the way... He sighed softly, tipping his head. "Heavy bruising, a few burns and a concussion..." He murmured softly, brushing back her hair and then turning his attention to the nurse.
