(He ran his thumb over the back of her hand, his breath shaking out of him.. he felt like his life was on the line. He was realizing that without her he would have nothing.. he would have to fight to keep Ana.. and she would be gone and he would never get over that kind of loss.) Will you let them finish so we can find out what is going on? (He put his other hand up under hers, cupping her hand between his and eyeing her, forcing himself to appear hopeful.. it was a sham.)
