  • She smiled lightly, taking the baby but not really lingering with him at all - just putting him into his crib. Her fight with Kevin was heavy in her mind but she was trying to put on a positive front - she didn't want to bring any clouds onto her friends bright day. His words had hurt, though she had definately thrown in her own barbs.
