When Marcus had told her about all this she had been so furious... never overly keen on the girl since she'd announced she was pregnant, she was even less fond of her now she was laying all of this on her shoulders... Not that she didn't adore Jesse already... children had always been we weakness, but Ashley was certainly held low in her esteem.
She had come to the hospital when Marcus had called to say he was going into surgery, and was now waiting for him to return, sat stifly in an uncomfortable chair, the black woman still held airs of grace and dignity, and had kept her looks extremely well.
